Description:

Directs the planning, implementation and support of information systems with special emphasis on system development, web presence and production support. Plans for staffing needs, manages and directs personnel and their development to deliver timely proactive I&T services. Plays a major role in defining the development direction for the company; maintaining relations with internal and external customers; managing the development process and providing support to production. Directs and monitors all aspects of development, including project proposals and plans, design, development, quality assurance testing, implementation and post-implementation reviews for the companys management system and web presence. Directs the provision of production support to the organization, including product testing and first level application support for agent support teams. Supports a team environment within I&T management by providing ongoing coordination with the Computer Operations, Network and Reporting teams with Development, Web Services and Production Support. Evaluate and analyze new data processing systems, technical and managerial developments for potential incorporation into the I&T environment based on management plans and objectives. Defines required project personnel; interviews candidates on their technical and behavioral skills; selects candidates capable of meeting project needs; and orients new employees on company and project procedures. Participates in the development of the companys project development and management methods and procedures, recommends changes when necessary, and monitors their utilization on all responsible projects.
